Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Amy, but most people know me by my middle name, Kiyoko.

I grew up both in California and Hawai’i (where my family is from), and now live in Southern California with my husband, our two dogs, and a cat named Nacho.

I’ve been working in the book industry in one capacity or another since 2006. So far I’ve had the privilege of earning the following titles:

• Bookseller

• Merchandise Manager

• Assistant Store Manager

• Store Manager

• Business Development Manager

• Junior Editor

• Assistant Editor

• Associate Editor

Before that I attempted to follow my family in their career field, but it wasn’t for me. During that time I spent a very eye opening two years working at a recording studio in Hollywood. 

I just graduated from UCI with a BA in English, and am considering applying for grad school.

Now my life revolves around my two passions: writing and editing. Find me in my backyard fruitlessly trying to keep my pup out of my tomato garden, or at the beach wearing anything but a bathing suit.
